I'm left handed.

I also have nerve damage in my left arm and hand from military service.

As such, I tend to drop things.

(this is why things have straps, like my very expensive cameras)

(also why I tend to make certain typos, because I can't feel some of my fingers)

1/
I can't NOT drop things, because the damage and the dominate appendage are the same. And despite efforts to reprogram myself, I reflexively pick up stuff with my left hand.

So, I tend to drop things. Somethings those things are full glasses of liquid (phones, tablets, yay!)

2/
I mention this because I've suddenly gotten some feedback about mocking Trump's (alleged) "disability," i.e. the glass of water thing.

Heh.

I get it. I hear what you're saying, and if it was mocking an actual disability, sure, that would be a dick thing. No doubt.

3/
But it's not that.

It's that Trump himself claims not just perfect health, but superior fitness beyond that of ordinary men. He demands we believe his flabby 74-year-old ass is somehow leaner than Obama's rock hard abs, his hair is thick and golden, his eyesight keen.

4/
We're are expected by our government to believe Trump is of some superior genetic material, the pinnacle of some master race of robust white men whose blood pressure, cholesterol, and ability to achieve an erection doesn't require chemical assistance at 74.

5/
Trump, his supporters, and his spokespeople push this narrative upon us and we are supposed to believe.

Yet his infirmity is on display every moment of every day.

It's this obvious, ridiculous Orwellian lie I'm mocking -- and will continue to mock.

6/
But it's MUCH more than that.

In the final years of Reagan's administration, Reagan and those around him hid his mental decline from the nation. They did it to maintain THEIR power, because it made Reagan easy to manipulate.

We're still dealing with the fallout from that.

7/
Those who would attempt to spin Trump's obvious physical decline into the attributes of a superman, are no different from those who did so for Hitler, or the various Kims, or any despot.

Or Reagan for that matter.

8/
And TRUMP's keepers would demand we believe these obvious and clumsy lies, imagine what they are hiding when it comes to Trump's MENTAL state.

That's what I'm mocking, this idea that I'm am so utterly stupid that I would believe these lies.

9/
I'm not mocking disability, because I wouldn't. I drop glasses myself.

I'm mocking the fact that Trump and his supporters actually DO seem to believe this idea of superiority, that war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength.
