Tomorrow is Election Day. It has been my honor to serve you in the New York State Assembly for the past 10 years.

Together we have — a thread.
✅ Required an independent monitor to be appointed for the Rochester City School District to rein in the current school board while we work to put the school district back on track to succeed.
✅ Responded to the #COVID19 pandemic by passing legislation to protect the health and safety of our families, small businesses, and communities.
✅ Passed long overdue criminal justice reforms to address inequities toward people of color.
✅ Raised the minimum wage so workers can better provide for their families.
✅ Passed paid family leave so a parent doesn’t have to choose between going to work to provide for the family or staying home to care for a sick loved one.
✅ Passed the strongest environmental protections in the nation and banned most single-use plastic bags and Styrofoam food containers.
✅ Passed the Farmworkers Rights law so those working on farms get the same protections and rights as other workers.
✅ Passed Marriage Equality and GENDA, among other measures, to recognize and move us closer toward equality for our LGBTQ community.
✅ Passed the historic housing reform and tenant protections that balanced the needs for someone to have stability in their home with that of property rights.
✅ Authored and passed the Empire State Apprenticeship Program, a 5 year $50 million dollar investment to incentivize the use of apprenticeships in industries such as advanced manufacturing, IT, health care and other expanding or emerging industries.
The work is far from over. We must continue to create economic opportunities for all of our families, advance legislation that brings full dignity and equality to all in our community, ensure all our children receive a quality education and fight for workers’ rights!
And so, I humbly ask for your vote tomorrow on Election Day. 🗳
