A year ago today, I hosted my first ever political event: a phone bank for @ewarren’s birthday. Within a few months, I started working on her campaign full-time to make her not only the first woman, but the most qualified, empathetic, & capable President we’ve ever had. 1/4
It didn’t turn out how we wanted, but I will always be grateful for the ever-inspiring and super fun time I spent working with my incredible teammates and passionate volunteers to build support for progressive policy and remind young people and students of their power.
. @ewarren has this ability to activate people to take action in electoral politics and beyond. I wasn’t sure I wanted to work on a campaign until I saw how she was running hers. She brought countless people into the progressive movement & we’ll be reaping the benefits for years.
So happy birthday @ewarren!!! Thank you for your tireless work to protect working & marginalized people. I can’t wait to vote for the many young women who pinky promised you that they’d remember their power! Have a lovely (& safe! please stay home) birthday & pat Bailey for me https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="❤️" title="Rotes Herz" aria-label="Emoji: Rotes Herz">
