Our latest committee meeting has just concluded and we have an exciting update to share with our followers about the #LibDemLeadership election.
This leadership election is an easy choice, as the candidate we endorse must:
1. Share our values, aligning well with the principles of both our parties and commonalities between @Conservatives and @LibDems

2. Be able to foster cooperation between our two parties, ready to deliver moderate and pragmatic government in the national interest.

Ed Davey is not only best placed to do this, but has spent five years in government doing so, achieving laundable feats and concessions on the environment. #LibDemLeadership
Layla Moran on the other hand has neither track record or willingness to do this. Proposals in Build Back Better do not belong in the @libdems and are incompatible with the @conservatives entirely, inhibiting co-operation and dragging our party to the left. #LibDemLeadership
Wera Hobhouse is also running.
Even as an ex-Tory however, we still believe Ed Davey is best placed to bring the Liberal Democrat’s back into government. #LibDemLeadership
