I know it may seem like I'm super extra mega critical of @ScottishHockey, and maybe I am. I don't want to suggest they're all the same, in fact some of the staff are superstars - but the leadership from the Board and whoever else makes decisions through this whole pandemic
has been severely lacking, and indeed in a lot of cases it seems like it's been merely to further individual egos, causes and superiority complexes. We have some great clubs, and individual players, and volunteers, who are all suffering as a result of lack of forward planning
We've a huge year as a nation coming up with @scothockeywomen at the European A division, and the @Blue_Sticks back aiming for promotion back to the A division, we've got guys and girls in with a shout of Olympic selection for GB and Tokyo
and yet at a governance level we seem to have a determination to ruin the sport.

I bet we'd still have games played every Saturday if we sacked the board and the office and simply left it down to a group of Volunteers, all people elected by the clubs to run the game
The Domestic side of our game and grassroots hockey is the lifeblood of our sport - without it, we don't send people to Olympics because we don't develop them.

Get a plan together so we can get back to playing, so we can give Jen/Derek and the teams the best chance in Europe
and then we can go from there. I said when I saw it that there was too much 21/22 focus on what the TaskFarce was tasked with. We need to focus on 20/21. If we need to rejig for 21/22 then we can focus on that after we have the plan.

There are some good folk
That work in the office, and that volunteer for the sport and have been involved. There are some young guys and girls with fresh ideas, and older more experienced heads that have seen and done so much in the sport. Why don't we use them? Why don't we try and follow
the lead of the Irish and the English who have various roadmaps back to playing already out there. Why are we so far behind? Is it because there is too much corporate infighting at the governance end? Is it about people trying to forward their own agendas?
Lets work together to get a plan in action, that works to the benefits of the members of @scottishhockey - thats the clubs and the players. Maybe it means we might find a way to get the teams that deserve some rewards, into the places they deserve to be.
You can't award European places, but not fulfil promotions and relegations. It's not fair
You can follow @HockeyScottish.
