THREAD: School will look different next year. Oddly, one component of instruction that people are working hard to maintain is “live lectures”. Not only are they an ineffective way to deliver content, but they are uniquely inaccessible to kids with limited resources. 1/2
Live sessions with kids are really valuable. But they should be used to build community, address questions and facilitate small group instruction. That precious time should not be used to deliver direct instruction that could easily be replaced by an instructional video. 2/2
