First thoughts on the #Higgins proposals for economic recovery in Scotland.
Good things for women’s equality:
Gender-sensitive sex-disaggregated data being used in (future) economic policymaking
Acceleration of reform and investment in adult social care
Good things for women’s equality:

Things that might be good for women’s equality:
Sectoral Fair Work agreements, if Fair Work was better gendered and wage-setting powers were used to revalue underpaid work
Investment in green jobs and technologies, esp. if we can bake in tackling occupational segregation

Things that might be good for women’s equality:
More flexible modes of working, although the “Centre for Workplace Transformation” needs to draw more on the work of gender experts like @closethepaygap

Potentially missed opportunities for women’s equality:
Following in the groove of the EU’s very trad stimulus plans risks a transfer of jobs from women to men
Women’s disproportionate unpaid work as a result of #COVIDー19 is acknowledged and then pretty much ignored
