I remember being surprised when I learned medieval knights sealed oaths by kissing on the lips, were obsessed with flowers and perfume and would openly weep at the slightest provocation.

The & #39;masculinity& #39; we have today is largely Victorian in origin and I think it& #39;s -
- crap. In the 1890s some Victorian sailors refused to use forks because they were feminine. 1700s male fashion slimmed the shoulders and accentuated the lower torso, subverting the modern & #39;superman& #39; model of manliness. Society really is a construct, live how you want -
