then there's the issue of crunch, the abusive working practices at @Naughty_Dog that forced devs to watch traumatic content in the name of 'realism.'

art should not be born of abuse, can not be born of abuse. it should be a rule of thumb that art should not be dependent on violence for it's creation. if it is then it is not art but violence wearing the clothes of art

this is not to say that art can not be violent but it must not enact violence as a key part of its creation. don't buy games made using crunch or that force the devs into trauma, don't buy films or music made by abusers

we have the choice to either facilitate violence and abuse or turn from it. i implore you to turn from it at every opportunity. thank you for reading this thread which wasn't meant to be a thread.
