Racist history always does stuff like this - A) it casts acknowledgement of non-White people's humanity as undignified. B) It casts the aggrieved white people as a part of the ruling class.
Your ancestors were serfs and cos playing as a knight would've been illegal, but go off.
Your peasant ancestors were just kneeling everywhere about the shop, actually. You've just been taught bad history that is only inhabited by "great men" so you think everyone in the past was a great man and that you'd be too. No. You would be a peasant, which is good actually.
Sandra still wouldn't respect you in the medieval period, mate.
Racist history also does this - just making stuff up and trying to explain it to an actual medieval historian. "Serfs were free! Hot is cold! I'm not a racist!"
Just in case any other dangers are reading this - serfs *by definition* are not free. That is what makes them a serf as opposed to just a peasant.
