Yes it’s that tine of the day for DAYDREAM (by @official_izone) ANALYSIS by a music student/nerd
Of course, the first thing you’d talk about when its daydream is Yujin’s flawless chorus, but lets save that for last. Minjoo’s part first...
The way minjoo sings this intro actually blew me away, esp for someone who isnt part of the vocal line, the way she transitions into that upper register is spot on. The “mmmmm” at the beginning?
+ the heavy bass sounds and snaps flow gorgeously with her tone...

The way it transitions from minjoo to eunbi is also spot on, producers knew their shit (obv) when they added the addditional sound like that to differentiate minjoos parts and eunbis (cant pinpoint the instrument rn)
Hello, THE SYNTHS USED STILL MAKE ME SHIVER ISTG... also pay attention to the electric guitar playing in the background, it really drew me in to this part. Also, the simple ad libs at the end before it transitions to eunbi’s part (jinjoo) is something simple but adds—
Colour to the song and its makes daydream stand out. The very prevalent bass synth throughout the verses of the song also makes it a GOD TIER song. Its so experimental for izone and thats why I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT (u should know by now im a reveluv- experimenting is heaven)
Minjoo ad libs u may have missed- this is yujins voice with minjoo’s... as a jinjoo stan... this part left me deceased.
Chaeyeon with Minjoo... a harmonization i never knew i needed
Minjoo and eunbi... the way this blends SO well its difficult to catch... it takes like ten hours to actually separate their voices so... i swear so much was put into this song... minjoo added so much flavour into this song, i respect her so much for it!!
Also, if you listen to the song carefully, you can hear someone backing up eunbi and chaeyeons verse- who sounds like yujin. But there no confirmation until theres a solid hidden vocal created @ hidden vocal makers im begging yall
EUNBI TIME!!!!! oh my god eunbi in this SONG!!!! daydream eunbi got to show off everything dreamlike eunbi wanted to... her higher register is projected so well i just— and if that lower register is her too- then it only highlights how much i love this song my dudes
Another thing that amazes me about daydream- the structure is pretty basic, verse - pre chorus - chorus - verse - pre chorus - chorus - bridge - pre chorus - chorus... but its how they build the song!!!! That is GORGEOUS
They keep adding vocals and little instrumentals and ad libs and harmonies that you might miss if you dont pay attention- its how they built the song from and little house to a giant manor- on the SAME base.
Back to eunbi- THIS RUN IS ONE OF THE BEST I TELL YOU!!!!!! We all know izone can hit high notes- but we rarely see them hit these kind of gorgeous runs that take them all over the scale.. this run strengthens eunbis position as a vocalist without question
Yes eunbi’s extra “ah ah” and “no no no no” add so much flavour to the ending!!!!! It would’ve been boring if they kept singing “dont wake me up” but izone and the producers added all these gorgeous ad libs to fit with the intense instrumentals in the back- Magnificent...
Chaeyeon’s voice in this... complemented SO WELL with the other three.. this line specifically, shows how good chaeyeon’s control over her voice is, lovely...
Kwonchaeng’s voices REALLY complement each other well in this and since we are yet to hear any hidden vocals, who knows how much more chaeyeon secretly adds into this song.
Yujin... before i move on i must say i really RESPECT yujin for this song.. she was always my bias but this song made me proud of being a yujin stan- her vocals and ad libs in this really give the song its essence and I THANK THE PRODUCERS FOR RECOGNIZING THAT
A prominent thing about Yujin’s chorus and daydream in general- is that the instrumental is fast paced, but the style of singing is chill and more on the slower side- the way the producers made these two worlds collide is AMAZING...
THE WAY YUJINS VOICE IS LAYERED OVER EUNBIS IS SO *chefs kiss* and also her short run at the end of eunbi’s part is just so good and important to enhancing the quality of this song so its not repetitive
Chaeyeon doesn’t get a lot here- but if this song did ever get a choreography- we all know she would be doing an amazing dance break. But that’s a personal wish..
[YUJIN CONT]
This part- is literally almost perfect. The way she harmonized with HERSELF is legend behavior and impressive regardless. Producers did an excellent job of playing around with their vocals to create this masterpiece

Im not a vocalist so i cant tell you what exactly shes doing with her voice (head voice, chest voice etc) but i am quite positive she’s hitting almost a C6 (correct me if im wrong) and the WAY she hits it is marvelous... it flows so well with the song,,,
Daydream really isn’t a song thats completely about vocals- the instrumentals and the vocals balance each other out and thats why to me its sooooo perfect,, its genre and style is super experimental for izone- and thats a beautiful step for more variety in izone songs.
I cannot even fathom how much work went into the production of daydream yall... it deserves so much more... daydream is what I would call izone’s kingdom come (a lil exaggeration) but no cap...
I know a lot of wizones dont really like daydream, and I understand, it experimental and a bit strange, but i made this thread just so yall could appreciate how much WORK went into this song!! Its really a masterpiece yall
Also, check out Form Of Therapy’s (an established producer) video where he listens to BLOOMIZ and gives Daydream 10/10 (along with Eyes and Open Your Eyes) since im just some dude on the internet- hes a more trusted source :)
If yall want me to dive deeper into certain songs, just tell me... i am a nerd and it is my pleasure :)
