One size fits all? Designing financial incentives tailored to individual economic preferences.
In this paper, just published in @BPPjournal, I studied the incentives individuals would select for themselves (e.g. deposit contract, lottery).

I also tried to predict which incentives individuals select, using measures of inter alia risk and time preferences. Surprisingly, I find no association between the behavioral insights typically used to motivate particular incentive designs and selection of those designs.
It was a very valuable learning experience writing this paper at the end of my PhD, as a solo author (my first one!). I hope to continue this line of research with @NBoderie (who is working on very interesting trial in which personalised incentives for smoking cessation).
