thoughts abt filipinx ,,,

i feel for the fil-ams pushing for the usage of filipinx bc i think the majority of them are incredibly whitewashed and dont learn much about filipino culture/language unless they really want to. when i lived in the us i knew close to nothing abt (1/?)
filipino culture and language as well. i understand why some are trying to push the usage of filipinx (since they believe it& #39;s more inclusive than using filipino), however i don& #39;t agree with filipinx being used bc fiipino is alrdy gender neutral ??? (2/?)
it feels very disconnected and disrespectful to filipinos and filipino culture/language since it seems as if fil-ams are being ignorant of their filipino heritage. i think this discussion could be a learning experience for other filipino-americans. (3/4)
sorry if this thread seems redundant and/or messy. i could go on with other reasons why some think filipinx should be used and why it really shouldn& #39;t be used, but i& #39;m lazy lol. thanks for reading if you read this far. (4/4)
