thoughts abt filipinx ,,,

i feel for the fil-ams pushing for the usage of filipinx bc i think the majority of them are incredibly whitewashed and dont learn much about filipino culture/language unless they really want to. when i lived in the us i knew close to nothing abt (1/?)
filipino culture and language as well. i understand why some are trying to push the usage of filipinx (since they believe it's more inclusive than using filipino), however i don't agree with filipinx being used bc fiipino is alrdy gender neutral ??? (2/?)
it feels very disconnected and disrespectful to filipinos and filipino culture/language since it seems as if fil-ams are being ignorant of their filipino heritage. i think this discussion could be a learning experience for other filipino-americans. (3/4)
sorry if this thread seems redundant and/or messy. i could go on with other reasons why some think filipinx should be used and why it really shouldn't be used, but i'm lazy lol. thanks for reading if you read this far. (4/4)
