Soo I am going to do a review on 1989 since i have never listened to it in full (a thread)
#1 welcome to new york: a chill opening, very repetitive imo. I would give it a 5/10
#2 blank space: i love this song, one of my favorites from tay tay, very nostalgic, a beautiful video, I remember jamming to it when i was little, she is kinda cray cray in the storyline but thats ok. I give it 9/10
#3 style: a classic. It has a great opening. I remember when I was getting ready for school in the morning and it was still dark i put on the tv while eating breakfast and they would always play style on my fav music channel. I give it a solid 8.5/10
#4 out of the woods: i remember when i used to be a huge fan of her and liked every single up to out of the woods, i was so confused when she released it. I dont like the song at all however the video is very pretty. (Back then i didnt know how albums worked btw). I give it 5/10
#5 all you had to do was stay: i have bever heard it before and its a grower. I didnt like the opening but the chours are so good, especially the way she says “STAY”. It sounds like a pop classic. I give it a 7/10
#6 shake it off: is there really a doubt? My fav taylor song ever, so nostalgic and upbeat, she is so cute and innocent in the video. This song was the reason i started liking her so much before i began to hate her during the rep era
#7 i wish you would: hmm its too generic imo, not memorable at all. So a 4/10
#8 bad blood: THERE IS ANOTHER VERSION? WTF?! I like the rap one better and i hate the fact that its so aggressive towards katy. I started hating taylor bc of how problematic she was and her most popular songs were about hating someone so i had to unstan
#9 willdest dreams: such a beautiful song, the video is a masterpiece, i like taylor with black hair. I give it a 9/10
#10 how to get the girl: ummmm chile lets move on
I will stop here. If enough ppl like this thread i will continue it. Overall up until the 10th track nothing besides the single fascinates me
