I think it is worth stating here if anyone wants to RT for PGCE students starting in Sept:
TAKE THE HOLIDAYS.
I have barely worked during the holidays at all. That is my kids' time. I passed my PGCE with no issues.
You can rest. Just be smart with time during the term.

I was told to give up any hobbies, that the holidays would be busy with work, so many toxic things by my course leaders and some fellow teachers.
Not so.
You just need to be prepared to work hard during term time. It really is simple. Don't let it be your hardest year x

I am not boasting or suggesting this year has been easy by any means.
I just think keeping hobbies and relaxation time is SO vital. Especially in your pgce year/in the teaching profession as a whole.
Overworking yourself is not "cool", doesn't make you better and is unnecessary.
