like. that can determine if jgy’s actions are “horrible and cruel, yet unfortunately understandable” or “horrible and cruel, needlessly and excessively so”

like. i really hated jiggy’s guts and whole Everything when i was cql exclusive... but if u scroll back far enough on my profile you can find the exact moment i started looking into the novel bcos i went from “jgy’s #1 hater” to “jgy’s (reluctant) #1 stan”

this isnt a “omg novel superior cql sucks ” thread bcos i Rly Rly like cql- its what brought me here- and zzj’s acting is

and i get fans who Hate/are Very Critical of jgy with their whole heart, bcos thats not even cql exclusive. plenty of novel reasons to do that too

i just think its interesting how shifting timeline and changing some relatively minor things really turns jgys whole character around. similar crimes, overall, but less “heartlessly manipulative and egocentric” and more uncomfortably understandable, i suppose

thats why, even tho im a big fan, i still like reading threads that are critical of jgy... i just think it really just depends on which canon one prefers. even then, theyre usually pretty reasonable- or at least understandable- takes regardless
