Twitter bullied Sonakshi so much that she quit Twitter, a place where she shared her work and thoughts, an outlet in such trying times and now Twitter is celebrating making her do that. Every day is a call to reflect on yourself here, every day is a reminder to be more kind.
People focus on words here so much like everyone is Paulo Coehlo, not every one is well articulated, not everyone knows how to express while being politically correct, look beyond words, see the context and feeling, that is what communication is about, words are just a medium.
Sonam might have said something which didn’t go well with us, may be she is wrong, haven’t we been wrong ever? Were we born woke? Are we totally woke now? Look beyond her tweet, a tweet doesn’t make or break a person, she is much more than that, her feelings are valid
Just because they are rich and famous, just because they are privileged, does it mean their feelings are not valid? Does this mean we are right in bullying them? Just because they have put themselves in public eye doesn’t mean we should scrutinise every action and word by them
When you preach about kindness remember it extends beyond your family and people who can benefit you, that is real kindness otherwise its just selfish opportunistic behaviour, if we don’t like them we have an opinion of moving on ignoring them, bullying is cruel.
Who will be responsible if God forbids something happens to someone, are privileged people immune to depression or sadness? Eulogies are always easier than apologies because you don’t have anyone to answer to, but its a very heavy burden, be nice to privileged and not privileged
Trolls don’t have an agenda, they just search for people to bully so they feel better about their insecurities because they are aware about the lack of talent and perseverance in themselves, this denial and hatred gives them 5 mins of pleasure, they find solace in such bullying
Don’t end up becoming a mob while trying to kills mobs, Sooner than you know you will end up becoming one of them, you will start focusing all your energy in this bullying because it’s easier, working ok yourself is always the harder way but the right way
We all have made mistakes, just because our mistakes are different than theirs (if any) doesn’t make us a better person, our intentions however noble doesn’t absolve us from the responsibility of our problematic actions, remember these times are a testimony of us as humans
How we held up each other and made such trying times bearable for everyone will give us depth and substance, Haven’t we learned that the material things we are seeking and hating people for are irrelevant now? Lets focus on brighter days which are here already, let’s be kind.
This situation we are in right now is a Pandemic, it’s not just a family suffering from flu, we all are suffering, we all are affected, some of us lost people, some of us lost jobs, some just graduated and are clueless about their future while some are stuck away from home
Many such things happened to a lot of people, a lot of which we don’t even know about, this is affecting us in ways we don’t even know yet, when we realise its not just us we think by being more empathetic, I hope we all get enough wisdom to know whats the right thing to do.
I usually don’t like taking names in my tweets because it brings a lot of attention most of which is negative, I tried writing this without names too but it didn’t make sense, I hope you understand my point even if I failed to articulate properly.
We have become blood sucking vultures, who enjoy watching funeral progressions and photos of dead people like it’s our entitled source of entertainment, we are not doing the dead any favour, we are causing the alive family of the deceased more hurt by cashing on someones trauma
