akagi being the first person kita befriends bc they live in the same apartment complex and they played together and then they run into omimi who lives on the next street over while they were playing near the old shrine and since then theyre inseparable

they mostly hang around kita's house bc yumie is always there to give them sweets. akagi and yumie get on like a house on fire while omimi is slightly nervous bc he wants to make a good impression even though yumie already adores them bc kita looks so happy with his friends

yumie considers them grandsons since the three are thick as thieves so they tend to call her sobo (i call my childhood friend's granny that bc we basically grew up together and she was a constant and yes im projecting who cares)

akagi: dont worry sobo! if our shinsuke doesnt end up married by 25, we can marry him off to omimi! i'll make sure he's treated well!!

and poor aran is kinda dragged into the group by akagi bc its so painfully obvious he has a huge crush on kita but KITA DOESNT NOTICE IT and its now akagi trynna play matchmaker with all his might. in the end, its omimi that actually is successful bc all it takes

is aran meeting yumie and kita seeing how sweet aran is to yumie and it definitely makes him start reciprocating. akagi still takes the credit and omimi lets him sjfkdjfks

imagine this but it being commonplace for akagi and omimi to join them during dinner and as they get older, they start serving yumie bc "sobo dont worry about that! ren is bringing the food, and dont worry michinari will set the cushions and the table" just some good boys!!
