I've been studying photography as a hobby and....the poses individually are great but together it does something that I don't like. Lisa has a light coat which contrasts against the dark background, so the eye is drawn to her. (1/2)
Because her arm is extended upward and to the right, the viewer's eye follows it and is drawn to look at Jennie and Rosé, as they are at the same height of Lisa's arm. In this cycle that the viewer's eye follows,Jisoo is skipped.
The photographer should know this, so I don't know why this was the final product.Photographers direct the poses a lot of the time so why did he not alter it? If it was Lisa's other arm extended, or if her arm was pointing downward, the eye would go from Lisa->Jisoo->Jennie->Rosé
This bothered me. I've seen locals not noticing Jisoo at first&then saying "Wait the more I look the girl sitting is actually serving the most looks".This is bc the eye subconsciously follows Lisa's arm,so the first time you look, Jisoo isn't noticable. You have to actively look.
It sucks because Jisoo's pose is great and visually interesting and with just a tweak it could have been a great group photo.
It also doesn't help that the background is dark, and Lisa has a light coat to set her apart, Jennie has her white hair framing her face, and Rosé has light colored hair whereas Jisoo jas dark hair and dark clothing. Her clothes are the most similar to the background color.
