Do folx in Seattle think this is happening in/near the CHOP? I know I’ve only been back for 2 nights, but I’ve been shocked at the number of fireworks. https://twitter.com/_pem_pem/status/1274804709933699072">https://twitter.com/_pem_pem/...
The fireworks are larger and louder than what I remember from previous years living here and even like, Pride, which is pretty damn joyous.
And my neighborhood, Mar Vista, in LA, did have fireworks year round (Someone’s birthday? Fireworks. RIP Kobe? Fireworks.) and they were not as large scale and as big as what I’ve been hearing on Capitol Hill.
And I love fireworks - they’re a total guilty pleasure. I think I know what I’m hearing and I know you can buy most of them in WA.
But like... why?? Why set off an M-80 in Cal Anderson park?? Why?

It sounds like some of them last night were to honor Lorenzo Anderson, whom died Friday night in the CHOP. https://www.capitolhillseattle.com/2020/06/theyre-kids-19-year-old-remembered-in-the-aftermath-of-capitol-hill-protest-zone-shooting/">https://www.capitolhillseattle.com/2020/06/t...
