Eh, I’mma post my long-ass thread anyway. RIP me haha.

You guys, I really don’t wanna get involved in This, but it’s veeery concerning to me that everyone feels they should REPORT fans for just literally stating their opinions and feeling angry and tagging the official account.
Do we really want that system in fandom?? I get it. People are being mean and negative and you don’t like that, but being mean, negative, & EXPRESSING AN OPINION is not illegal. Fans should not have their whole ass twitter accounts removed just for complaining about their faves.
THAT’S WHAT TWITTER IS FOR. Oh my goodness. It would be different if it were a troll/racist/sexist opinion targeting minorities or threatening harm, but reporting a fan for saying sth like “boo ohno’s curry looks dry af. knife skills 2/10 *tags official acct” takes time away from
Twitter’s review team from reviewing other more pressing reports. I get wanting to protect Arashi, I get it, but negative comments will always exist, people will always have opinions that are not exactly like your own, and part of life is distinguishing which opinions are worth
fighting about and which are just “agree to disagree” type things. Arashi has spent their lives under intense public scrutiny—they will be okay. Just block people if they’re annoying. I mean, it’s not even a lot of fans?! There are like TWO but it’s just been blown WAY out of
proportion. Fandom isn’t a religion, tho it can feel that way. You are free to not like All or Nothing (truly a period of discovery haha) or say you din’t enjoy Bambino (despite it being a beautiful & touching drama abt chefs and TIRAMISU), and you shouldn’t be persecuted for it.
