I feel for Noname here. She was blindsided by an unprovoked act of public humiliation and tone policing from a male artist far more famous and commercially successful than her. She deserves better than how all of this went down.
For days, Cole stans have been saying it's not beef. So then what was it? Bullying? Because someone in a position of power took a potshot at a young activist/artist who responded in kind and then *she* ended up being made to feel guilty for doing so while he coasts. What the fuck
A 35 year old star came for Noname unprompted. She then rapped surgical summer bars over a sick Madlib beat, and it wasn't respected as beef and she was made to feel like the bad guy for it. So what's the lesson here? What's the takeaway? Because I don't see it.
At the end of the day, this guy got offended by a tweet by a young woman that didn't name him and wasn't about him, enough so that he recorded and released a whole song to respond to her, and then he doubled-down while gaslighting her repeatedly until *she* apologized.

This guy
I'm sorry, you don't get to be the guy who raps about a woman needing a dick in her mouth--(his words!)--and be the guy who dismisses a woman's "queen tone" and then play like you have anything resembling the moral fucking high ground.
Noname's made to feel that bringing up the fact that BLACK TRANS LIVES MATTER on her track was a "distraction" while Cole gets to continue to make money off of shit like this in his catalog? C'mon fuck that shit.
And if you're a Cole fan and this thread STILL made no sense to you, this is why I made this meme for you https://twitter.com/noyokono/status/1273948443812212737
