My Memory with MH370

I supposed to board this flight on 8th March 2014 midnight, scheduled to Beijing to celebrate my birthday which fall on the 7th. A week before the flight, my Mom who was supposed to fly together with me told me that she was not interested to go to China. https://twitter.com/mirraass/status/1274259228136361984
She was giving few excuses such as it’s going to be hard to get Halal foods, hard to communicate etc. At first, I was frustrated since I was really excited to celebrate my birthday there. But considering my Mom request, I agreed to choose other destination.
Since I cannot change the flight destination, I decided to let our tickets burn and purchased new tickets to Vietnam on 9th March 2014. On the 8th March 2014, I was shocked by the news on Awani which reported MAS flight missing from radar.
I still remember that morning, I got a call from my cousin whom also supposed to fly together with us. What surprised me more was when we checked our previous Itinerary which stated MH370. We shocked, silent and surprised.
We were really grateful that we didn’t board the flight that we listened to my Mom. If not, we might be one of those missing passengers. But then again, few hours after the news, it was reported that the flight might have crashed somewhere the Vietnam sea.
It was among the first reports that we received on the first few hours of the missing flight. Again, when I heard the it might crashed somewhere Vietnam’s sea? Omg that was also my 2nd chosen destination!
We were in between to pursue with our vacation plan or to cancel it. But then we leave everything to Allah’s will and flew to Vietnam the next day. Alhamdulillah, everything was fine. Only that everytime I hear about MH370, it triggered my memory because....
I was supposed to board the flight, to celebrate my 30th birthday, and my birthday fall on 7th, the flight number was MH370, destination to Beijing and was suspected to crash somewhere Vietnam’s sea. All are connected with mine.
Nevertheless, I am glad that Allah still giving me a chance to go ok with this life and even I was supposed to board the flight, He changed my mind and lead me to diverted our destination to Vietnam.
That was the birthday celebration trip which I will never ever forget.

To the missing passengers and its crew, may Allah bless you all and may you all rest in peace.
