ppl thought the remaining thousands were simply going to assimilate + die out

between various wars, actively induced/managed famines and epidemics, and ruthless violence Europeans had murdered millions of Native Americans and asserted control over vast swaths of land — that was the Nazi DREAM, Manifest Destiny and Lebensraum are carbon copies of each other

and on top of all that the U.S.’s enslavement of Africans and the models it created to control Black ppl’s lives, labor, and bodies for the plantation economy were the perfect inspiration for Nazi’s forced labor programs

if you live in the U.S. you don’t have to watch a tv show to wonder what things would be like if the Nazis won because you already live in the country where the Nazis won

and Germany’s settler-colonial Lebensraum ideology predates Nazi Germany: their genocide of San, Herrero, and Namqua in what is currently Namibia was part of this ideology as well
