There needs to be an immediate and thorough response by @WatchMixer about this, and also the increasing number of sexual harassment and abuse stories that continue to see the light of day, as victims on this platform feel brave enough to speak up. https://twitter.com/MilanKLee/status/1274830702538821632

That being said, talk can be cheap. Words don't have meaning, unless you back them up with action. We need to hold these platforms accountable, so that they hold their content creators accountable. I hope that Twitch follows through and starts trimming these clowns.
Phil Spencer is now aware, thanks to the bravery of people victimized by hate. https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/1274906267614539776?s=19

A goal that was not met. A goal that was not enforced. A goal that was not encouraged. Partners who had free reign to do whatever they wanted. Ex-partners who were given their parternship back "after good behavior" despite their past transgressions.
Consider the mission statement of your platform a failure, if that's what you set out to achieve. Changing things for the future is certainly the right move, but what about the present? What about right now? What is going to be done? These are the answers people want @WatchMixer.
As this watershed kinda began with the revelations about prominent Destiny streamers on Twitch, here is @Bungie's response, which is more of a reminder and affirmation of what they have *already* been doing to keep their community safe. https://twitter.com/Bungie/status/1274766587317219328?s=19
But a game developer can only go so far. They only have so much reach within their own ecosystem. This again circles back to the streaming platforms themselves. There needs to be jawbreaking layers of checks and balances that offer no room to snake through the cracks.
The cold reality is this. A lot of these abusers don't actually feel any remorse for what they've done. They're only sorry they got outed. https://twitter.com/FoeLIVE_/status/1274857921726251009?s=19
You see this a lot with people who abuse others, either sexually, mentally, physically... They try to twist it just enough to envoke sympathy. Don't give them that. Don't let them have it. Hold their feet to the fire until they relent entirely or until they burn.
Going to continue this thread as relevant things keep coming up. Don't feed into platform wars. This isn't a Mixer-only issue. Twitch is not innocent. And I'm sure you'll find similar stories literally anywhere you look in any industry. It's systemic. https://twitter.com/JustinWong/status/1274919311782473729?s=19
