Like yes I understand why they are upset at people misuse of white sage and palo santo. Which is understandable but it erases my african ancestors and how much we have been connected to this land and the study of herbs thats helped them heal mentally, emotionally and spiritually
I dont like the erasure of Black people’s connection to the spiritual world by non black communities. My lineage was very much so deep into herbs and valued medicine healing. They were Black & Black Native healers so I get their intent but it also erases me and my ancestors
And if their pronouns arent she/her, I apologize. As you can see in this thread I corrected myself by being gender neutral. I dont want to misgender them at all
