Trump just fired US Attorney Berman, who was investigating Trump's attorney, banking partner and Turkish ally. He nominated SEC Chair Clayton for a demotion to this position, despite Clayton's lack of litigation experience. But don't worry, Chuck Grassley is watching corn grow.
Now we go to Senator Kelly Loeffler for this positively ferocious rebuke of Trump for firing the US Attorney investigating his personal allies. Ouch! That one is going to leave a mark. I almost feel bad for him. Such righteous indignation at this naked obstruction of justice!
Next up, Tom Cotton—a man known for fiery opinions and devotion to law and order. His condemnation of Trump's firing a man investigating his allies is sure to be hot hot hot! Oh, and it is. It is! This one's a scorcher, folks. President Trump must be weeping into his water glass.
Stand by for Susan Collins. Her outrage over Trump firing a US Attorney for investigating his allies must be at a volcanic level today. She may even upgrade her criticism from "concerned" to "disappointed," skipping right over "troubled." Ok, brace yourselves. We go to her now:
The audacity of Trump's firing the US Attorney investigating his allies is striking. It tells us Trump believes Republican Senators have his back. Surely, Senator Rubio will take a strong stand against this democracy-threatening corruption. Let's hear him out.

. . . Wait. Wut?
Um, not sure what happened there. Let's try again with Sen. Rubio. Surely, HE can disabuse Trump of thinking there's no limit to what Senate Republicans will tolerate. It's not like he's some aluminum foil helmet-wearing wingnut worried about lizard people or anarchists. Right?
Let's try Rand Paul. You can count on the libertarian to object to government corruption. He's not going to stand by as Trump obstructs justice by firing the guy investigating his friends and possibly financial interests linked directly to him. He will say NO to firing Berman.
Let's end on a high note! Never has a President received so sharp a reprimand from a Senator. This is just a blistering admonishment of Trump for corruptly firing the prosecutor who was investigating his friends. She is ANGRY!! Who can blame her? But WOWIE! What a takedown. Phew!
