now before I start this thread I want to let everyone know that I believe this persons actions changed for the better and he truly learned from his mistakes and does not say these demeaning things anymore as I know of. Why Misha Collins Is/ Was Problematic : A thread.

now before I start I want to just point out that the majority of the spn cast has said something questionable and problematic at one point and people will rightfully feel upset about it...one thing I have noticed is that they don’t use that same reaction when it is misha.

1. TW/ TRANSPHOBIA & HOMOPHOBIA

(Making fun of post op and name change / poking fun at transgender people.)

2. making fun of individuals who do drag. Using “queen”. (has been a specific type of slur to gay men for years if used in this context)

3. Constantly Queerbaiting ....

4. When people told him about his queer baiting he responded with this...idk something about using the word traumatizes is kind of odd (idk this one may not be a big one but he constantly queerbaits his fans into thinking something that is gonna happen will never happen)

5. Making fun of “how many letters are in lgbtqia+” ( he says because he officiated gay weddings hes somehow able to say those stuff?)

6. Can’t remember where but he referenced a scene in the episode “gay” because it wasn’t manly enough (so toxic masculinity).

7. Using words like “mentally challenged” (yikes.)

8. Joked that his wife could be a taliban spy the day after the 2014 Peshawar school massacre (145 were murdered by the Taliban, including 132 children)

9. Jokes about slavery and responds back after backlash and says that him and his charity has done so much ...it’s pretty much his way of saying “take a joke”

anyways end of thread but obviously I don’t think these reflect him as a person but it’s important to take note that his actions in the past aren’t seen to be problematic by some individuals but if it’s someone else in the cast they will think it’s problematic.

I think misha doesn’t do this anymore and I’m thankful and I’m glad he’s using his platform for better
