So, basically, what the TikTok ‘teens’ & the K-Pop stans did wasn’t to make the stadium empty because the tickets were just open registration … anyone that wanted to go, could still have as there was no limit on getting a ticket.

In other words, they didn’t cause low turnout.

However, what they did do was make the Trump campaign look incredibly foolish, by grossly inflating the numbers expected (and doing so in such a way that the campaign wouldn’t twig on to what they were doing) and thus the campaign setting up overflow areas and for mass turnout.

So it was a masterful campaign, executed brilliantly, and a really good example of organic gras-roots political organising that was super effective.

Now, the low turnout is very interesting. It could be blamed on COVID-19, but would that explain a turnout THAT low? I have doubts

Particularly when the centrality the MAGA messaging was how much of a non-event COVID is (you see this despite the infection and death-toll numbers).

Now, I don’t want to read anything too much into that turnout. Long way to go yet. But still, really interesting.
