A Thread of World Trigger thoughts (manga spoilers)

I’ve been obsessed with this series for 4+ years now and have read the chapters (especially the early ones) about 4 times. I was kinda disappointed with the 1st season and the animation quality but the casting was great

ppl hate osamu bc he’s weak but he’s so much more than that tbh, i’m not sure if s1 showed him properly BUT osamu isn’t dumb he knows he sucks. He is very selfless (which can get annoying) but he uses that to create strategies for the team. he’s not ur flashy guy-

but he supports his monster teammates. He supports kuga and chika with wires and in the ninomiya match GOD that shit was so satisfying, letting the opponent think he’s not a big threat by pretending to shoot asteroids. this is why i stan.

Definitely my favourite arc in the series is the Gaopaula arc and the later b-rank battles (specifically ikoma/oji battle and ninomiya/ikoma/yuba battle) not only is gp fascinating on neighbor tech it also shows development how the story and border considers neighbors-

compared to afto arc which is not only painful but very uhm hate fuelling but gp arc showed less hate and agression towards this country. sensei even hinted to possible allies in the future and i’m honestly so hyped

for b-rank wars, obviously they’re my faves not only for the epic fights from the attackers but i love ikoma squad LOL oji’s tactical tracking of osamu and the match climax when oki hesitated to shoot chika and kuga finishing everyone off was so satisfying

as for ninomiya/ikoma/yuba that was seriously satisfying. getting a shot out of ninomiya is gonna be satisfying no matter what tbh LOL not only that but the match in itself was about personal growth, not only from t-2 (which is ) but from obishima who drinks in information-

like a sponge since she’s young, as well as ninomiya squad’s growth, with the feignt at the end and nino’s hesitation to go full battle stance (not sure abt this i’ll have to reread) ikoma squad was kinda cornered from the start unfortunately but tsuji finishing off oki was fun?

i really want to know more abt the girls other than chika, kitora, shiori and kirie. sawamura’s big phat crush on shinoda is cute af most of the operators aren’t seen with the agents unless they’re off duty and i wanT mORE. I do believe in Kako and Nasu squad supremacy tho

One thing i LOVE abt wt is the fact that ye it’s technically military prop but it’s not abt being right/wrong or good/bad it looks at things differently, that the “bad guys” can be friends and the hate that has been bred against them, not entirely w/o reason can be thought abt-

and changed. plus even in the other direction! from friendship to hate and how that has effected the charas, especially ppl like miwa and kido who are highly emotional (and hateful) towards neighbours. Kazama is also interesting even tho he’s in kido fac he doesn’t seek revenge

for his brother and is still friends with shiori (i mean so is yoneya but they’re related lol).
