Every now and then I run into someone asking about a rumour that I once lost my shit at a restaurant waiter and got them fired & I have to explain I once told Twitter the story of politely calling a food delivery place to replace a burger due to dietary restrictions they ignored.
It& #39;s kind of wild that you can trace back bullshit stories like that to a single post, or a specific person, and that such a story just kind of spreads from there outside of your view until at some point it has grown to the point where you hear it told as absolute truth.
I ain& #39;t upset about it. It& #39;s unfortunate and annoying and I wish I wouldn& #39;t be used as caricature of things people like or dislike? But I will admit it& #39;s so fascinating to see a story about yourself that is laughably untrue, but also see how it is & #39;true& #39; as it spreads to others.
Anyway, now I& #39;m just laughing again at the conspiracy guy that sincerely seemed to argue years ago that the persistent random checks I get at airports are a way for the CIA to send me updates on my mission to destroy the games industry from within while maintaining my cover.
