I don't think people realize how hard it is for women in the labor force. Or they don't realize /why/.
I'm currently being persistently harassed by an old white male coworker. They have talked to him more than two times already. Apparently he thinks he hasn't done anything wrong, and I say this because when I asked him to please leave me alone to do my work,
He stood in the middle of the kitchen with his hands up and made it a show to ask me "did I do something wrong?! Are you mad at me?" This was after a manager had intervened.
Of course there's nothing much they can do apparently. I won't go into details yet since I'm still stuck there.
But the point of this thread is that you have to hold a person that is sexually harassing the other accountable. There is absolutely no excuse. This old man that should know better, that is harassing me, A TEENAGER, yet "oh he's probably just joking."
He has gotten a slap on the wrist while I almost had an anxiety attack today. If one of the managers hadn't checked up on me and given me a break when they did, I more than likely would have bursted into tears.
Please hold grown ass men accountable. Stop letting teenagers go through this bullshit.
