"It& #39;s better to not be hugging a grandma you haven& #39;t seen in a few months, just on the off chance you have the virus," CMO Brendan Murphy.
If you live in one of those [Melbourne] areas where there& #39;s transmission (Hume, Casey, Brimbank, Moreland, Cardinia and Darebin) we don& #39;t want you to fly to visit your family in Sydney or to go to country Victoria and potentially spread the virus," CMO Brendan Murphy.
"Similarly we think that if you& #39;re coming from interstate and you have family in one of those areas we& #39;d prefer you not to come and visit those areas and potentially take the virus back," CMO Brendan Murphy.
"We don& #39;t think the protest gatherings were directly responsible - the concern about the protest is that it led to people who were doing the right thing feeling like others were breaking the rules so they could too. So I think the protests set a bad example," CMO Murphy.
