We need help getting justice for Desmond Phillips, a mentally ill black man who was murdered by police. In this thread is his story and a petition to sign. Please help me and the thousands of others who want justice get these cops FIRED and arrested! (1/8)
Des had been brutalized by police before which left him in the ICU and with severe PTSD. When he had a mental health episode later at his dads apartment, his dad called 911 to get help for his son and have him taken to a hospital. When his dad saw the police pull up out the (2/8)

continue to harass Desmonds father as he is a big presence in our community now. 4 YEARS BEFORE Desmonds murder, his cousin was mysteriously found dead too. His cousin, Marc Thompson, was an incredible activist at his college and a big presence in our community. (5/8)
He was found in his car out on a country road where ppl dont go much. His car had been lit on fire with him inside of it and our police refuse to investigate it. THEY MURDERED MARC. THEY MURDERED DESMOND. The police are trying to brush this under the rug, and continue (6/8)
