The reason I gun so hard for mentoring is because I will do everything in my power to ensure young people do not have to go through the same harassment and abuse I did. At any one point I’m supporting the careers of 4 people.

Sadly women, trans and non binary people have lacked mentors, which means we question our ability to help tangibly. Heck, we feel like *we* need a mentor (we do). So break the cycle and help! That mundane piece of knowledge & experience you have can be valuable when passed on

Now, people looking for a mentor, interview your mentor the way they are interviewing you. Do your own background check, ask them about times they’ve had to stand up to people in positions of power, ask them how they think they can help you. You got this
