I cannot be clearer than this, I was mandated by 2000 people (now 6000) to move forward with Plan A+ legal action, I did so. The SNP have had no less than 5 mandates to proceed to Indyref2 BEFORE THE END OF this session of parliament.

If we have a positive ruling in the #PlanAPlus #PeopleAS30 case, we expect the Scottish Government to pass the appropriate legislation at Holyrood to enable that vote BEFORE May 2021. No excuses.

A vote in May 2021 would not be an acceptable position.

If we get the ruling we expect. We will be pushing for that to happen, regardless of the position of the SNP's leadership, because it would be lawful and it would be right.

You cannot have both a set of democratic mandates to pursue a given course of action and a declaration of the court stating that doing so would be lawful and not expect to be called out on a position in opposition to that mandate. It doesn't work like that.

You certainly cannot turn around to the electorate and say: "Listen, we know this has been deemed lawful and we know we've said this many times before but just for giggles can we have yet another mandate?!"

It also cannot be claimed support is not there. It is now at 54%.
