I think deep down, men don’t really give af about the celebration of Father’s Day. Men aren’t really wired to derive pleasure from platitudes, or a empty, platitudinous celebration like having a ‘day.’
If the children are fine and doing well, that’s their Father’s Day. If other men express admiration for the way they conduct their fatherhood, if their woman tells them they have done well, that’s their Father’s Day.
Many of them didn’t really care about it until people started dragging it with them. They might not care about the territory, but the war to keep it is what they like.

I started this thread with ‘I think.’
There’s no judgement in any of these tweets. No good or bad or shoulds, just a ‘this is the way I think things are.’
