1 - Ejaz Choudhry was not a threat to anyone but himself. He told his family to leave the apartment because he wasn& #39;t feeling well.

2- His family did not call the police. They called the non-emergency line, hoping for paramedics to come and help assist the family in getting Ejaz to take his medication.
3- Ejaz was 62 years old and suffered from a number of health conditions. His pharmacist told me he had trouble breathing and would need to sit between taking a few steps.
4- Ejaz did not have a gun, or "weapons". He was holding a single kitchen knife. He was frail and showed no indication of wanting to hurt anyone besides himself.
5- Based on the family testimony, the Police made few attempts to de-escalate.
6- The Police had an interpreter, knew he didn& #39;t speak English, but still yelled commands in English and then shot him.
