When I see trends in Wuhan, Lombardi, and NY, I’m once again convinced that there may be a subset of the population that’s just not susceptible to COVID, and may not even mount an immune response. This is hard to prove. But this has been on my mind since March. @Rfonsi1
@ASlavitt had this on his list as one of the unanswered questions about COVID. His comment about the West Wing in an earlier tweet also fits in.

Of course the other possibility is that these places Wuhan, Lombardy, and NY adopted measures that were effective. Hard to know.
If this is the case we may have herd immunity with far less than the % people usually think we need. And that would save us despite all the incompetencies of the the current leadership.
I’ve raised this one and off but I’m not a virologist. But if you have exhausted other explanations then the only explanation that’s possible is the unlikely one that’s left. Let’s see.
This is why I asked this question in March about innate immunity. @piziand @ivylessner @BethSuereth @Rfonsi1

But we only had Wuhan. And we thought no one was immune. Now after Lombardy & NY, Im not sure. I think it’s possible that a subset of population is not susceptible. https://twitter.com/vincentrk/status/1244347036293627910
