writing ‘i dare you’ : a progression thread

-making this to hopefully motivate myself to keep going. day one: after fifteen pages, matthew beckett’s character progression is done, and he’s ready to be put on the page. next goal: to finish cylas’s

i have now finished cylas’s and !! i am in love with him !! outlining comes next and i’m so excited

i got some good work done on my outline today ! i was a little nervous to start it, but i’m really happy with how it’s turning out. i also created their characters on picrew (as well as i could.) matthew’s the first (imagine his hair a bit curlier), and cylas !

three days later and i’ve finished the outline. (it’s 19 and a half pages long and i somehow feel sad that it’s over, even though, of course it isn’t, because i haven’t even started writing it yet.)

i wrote a chapter yesterday and another today ,, i also made their twitter pages for fun !

my current goal is to write about one chapter a day, whenever possible. i’d like to have written at least 30,000 words, and hopefully at least 12 chapters, by july 28th (one month since i officially started writing the book.)

an update: i’m working on chapter 11 now. motivation has been much harder to come by recently, but i’m still trying to work on it whenever i can, even if it’s only a few pages at a time

i have already gone through two pens in the process of writing this book fjfkjf lowkey afraid of running out of my favorite pens

well : let’s just say this particular depressive episode has left me without the motivation to write for a while. i don’t know the word count yet, but i wrote ten & a half chapters in a month

mmm so it’s been a hot minute since i’ve written anything and i feel like i’ve abandoned my babies (</3) but i slowly feel motivation coming back so ? perhaps i will resume writing again soon
