One thing that I’ve noticed when people criticize the Libertarian-Right is that they make the mistake of saying that corporations would take over and have a monopoly over things, which shows how they conveniently forget that big business corporations have all that power because
of the state, not in spite of it. If you diminish the size and power of the government, especially by reversing all of the policies that favor big busienss corporations, which would essentially be freeing up the market, big businesses would be left vulnerable to competition,
which is a GREAT thing. Smaller firms of all kinds would finally be able to truly compete again, and since smaller firms are better at running and managing themselves and don’t require assistance from the government to succeed, a lot of big businesses would eventually be phased
out of the market in the long run. Shrinking the size and power of the government isn’t giving power to big businesses, but instead it takes it away from them because their power is inherently linked to the state.
This is why it’s amusing when I see people suggest “less government while still having a Capitalist economy is just going to let big corporations fuck us over.”

Bucko, those big corporations are essentially an extention of the state’s power.
If you want to stop big corporations from fucking everyone over, which I strongly agree with considering that I want them to eventually no longer exist, then having a smaller government is the only way to do it effectively.
