To all women in this field.

You don't need men to be an artist.

You don't need a "higher tier artist" BF to break into the field. You don't need that "connection" who seems sleazy but whom you are afraid of dropping bc "it will hurt your carreer". You alone are a warrior.

Work hard, find a mentor, drop all the ppl who ring your alarm bell. If that means you'll have no work, find another source of income OUT of art field until the stream of gigs stabilizes.

Don't be greedy.

When you are good, they will come to you and give you the opportunities.

I remember this locally known agent who asked me to take a gig for like 30$ - he said the clients have no money. "Olga only you can make it good with this deadline".

I had a guy in another skype tab who was asking if 400$ for a character commish sounds like a good deal to me.

Block them, go away, cut contact, warn your female friends.

Your carreer will be fine.

If you can't drop the contact with the person, look into the roots of the problem.

You are dependant on them, financially or emotionally.

Look into this dependancy. Fix the problem.

Your personal history, CHILDHOOD, past relationships are NOT the problem.

What's happening to you is happening NOW, you are a grown ass adult, don't blame your dependancy on others.

You don't need no babysitters anymore.
