Some great TV shows and movies, which future generations will not be allowed to enjoy because of the fragile attitudes of today’s “Snowflake Generation”.

I have very few followers, so -please- do help with a retweet.

The Dam Busters is an epic British war film telling the story of the '43 raid by the RAF 617 squadron. The lead pilot’s dog was called n****r and, for this shallow reason, the film is now rarely broadcast unedited. Great performances by Richard Todd & Michael Redgrave will vanish
Mind Your Language was a must-see comedy on Saturday afternoons on ITV in the late 70s. Centered on an adult education English Language class, every stereotype was in full force. The comedy was innocent and enjoyable, but never spiteful.
There are many incredible performances of Shakespeare’s Othello which will now never be shown again because the lead actor was white. Amongst these are wonderful performances by Laurence Olivier, Anthony Hopkins and Orson Welles. Welles’ rendition is an astonishing work.
The Dukes of Hazzard were “just good ‘ol boys, never meaning no harm”. Their iconic car was called The General Lee and featured a large confederate flag on the roof. Hence their antics against Boss Hog and their incredible car chases have been banished from our screens, forever.
The Party is a '68 movie where comic genius Peter Sellers plays the hapless Indian Bakshi. A forerunner to Inspector Clouseau, unlike the latter this is now never shown. Along with sketches of The Goon Show and work by Spike Milligan. A generation of comic genius wiped out.
It Ain’t Half Hot Mum was a BBC comedy about a Royal Artillery concert party stationed in India. Michael Bates gave a fantastic performance as the acerbic Rangi Ram, who always had a witty retort for the English. We used to finish dinner early to catch this show.
Lots of movies contain actors in “blackface”, here an example being Fred Astaire in the movie Swing Time. This scene was just a throw-away sketch – but also thrown away with it as some of the most iconic dance sequences which Fred and Ginger made together.
Love Thy Neighbour was an ITV comedy telling the story of black & white neighbours. The whole point of the show was to lampoon the racist attitudes of Eddie Booth, a working-class white socialist. Clearly understood by contemporary audiences, but lost on today’s shallow viewers.
The '70s saw a raft of “blaxploitation” movies like Shaft, Coffy, Foxy Brown, etc. Despite being made by black people, with black actors & black themes, they are never shown any more. Ironically, recycling by white director Quentin Tarantino is deemed to be acceptable these days.
Even when whole shows are not lost, often large numbers of sketches have been edited out and thrown away. An example being many great and funny sketches by the comedy kings, The Two Ronnies. Also censored this way are people like Dick Emery, Dave Allen, Mike Yarwood, et al.
Even the greats of cinema are under attack. Gone with the Wind has already been censored and Planet of the Apes is next. Hilariously because lighter skinned apes are portrayed as scientists and leaders, whilst darker skinned apes as guards and soldiers.
I could go on, there are so many more examples - but I will stop there.

As a British Indian, I enjoyed all these shows. Back in the day, comedy was edgy, dangerous, risky and funny – and yes sometimes offensive.

That is why we loved it.
Today - shallow, ignorant and weak-minded people are destroying our history.

Censorship the past, manipulating the language and demanding group-think is straight out Orwell.
