Megan Fox has been sexualized from the age of 15 when Michael Bay made her dance in a bikini and wash his car as part of her audition for Transformers. When she spoke out, she was labelled “ungrateful” by the media and her career was destroyed by Bay and Steven Spielberg.

The media also did its best to make sure Megan was seen as a bad actrsss, although anyone who has seen Jennifer’s Body will tell you that is not the case. I wonder what her career would look like now if it wasn’t purposely destroyed by the industry because she dared to speak out.

I just read that Steven Spielberg denies ever telling Michael Bay to fire her although Michael originally said that he did so I am adding it to this thread for full context.

Megan Fox was the victim of an industry that took advantage of and forced an image and a narrative onto her, and when she tried to stand up for herself, they ostracized her. The media was complicit and the general public just stood by and watched.

I will never forget the interview where Megan said she didn’t want to speak up about her experiences in the industry in light of the ‘Me Too’ movement because she didn’t think she’d be a “sympathetic victim” based on how she was treated in the past.
