Preet Bharara just declared on CNN that it is now clear that "the decision to remove Berman was not made in good faith." The irony is that he made this completely unsupported statement in an interview on professionalism and objectivity in prosecutors...
...So the media is still debating the underlying reasons and Barr has insisted that the Trump investigations were never at issue. Yet, Bharara has declared that this was all done in bad faith. Period. No need for confirmed facts or a record. Is that the SDNY standard?
...This is the same Preet Bharara who has often said that he told young prosecutors to be careful and consider the words of Oliver Cromwell: “I beseech ye in the bowels of Christ, think that ye may be mistaken.” Apparently, but ye can have no doubt in the bowels of CNN.
...so Pete Williams just said that multiple sources confirmed that the Berman decision was entirely unrelated to the Trump investigation. He said there is no evidence of a connection. Instead, he said it appears to have been done for the reason stated: to find a job for Clayton
...Yet, it is still declared as clearly done in "bad faith" despite the evidence supporting the reason stated by Barr. I have been critical in how this was done. However, "bad faith" is when you reach conclusions without the burden of evidence.
