[Thread] The Fraudster Celebrity Sheikh with a Hidden Agenda

Azhar Nasser ( @ShaykhAzhar) has had an interesting rise to fame on Twitter, amassing an impressive 132.5K followers, by taking advantage of his traditional "shiekh" look and stolen humour (more about that later).

After Azhar's quick rise to fame, several major problems immediately began to surface.

One of the earlier red flags was Azhar’s intellectual theft of an entire lecture given by Nouman Ali Khan.

We at Sunni Defense were able to identify this shameless instance of plagiarism.

Azhar proceeded to delete his plagiarised lecture from his channel shortly after this video was released.

As previously mentioned, even his humour is stolen. Instead of using the retweet button, he passes the humour as his own. There are tons of examples of this.

Azhar, a Shi'ite apologist, has successfully been able to gain Sunni followers by sharing generic non-denominational content to his audience, mostly refraining from explicitly sharing his true extreme and distasteful beliefs and appearing non sectarian.

However, he occasionally has a slip of the tongue, where he exposes his true sectarian agenda to all of his followers.

In the following screenshots, which most of his followers would have missed, Azhar displays his hidden sectarian bigotry.

He falsely slanders Omar (RA) accusing him of murdering Fatimah (RA), which is a defective historical claim exclusively upheld by Twelver Shias today.

Here he outright insults Omar, a revered figure of over a billion Muslims. After realising that this would expose his bigotry and Twelver Shia agenda, he deleted this shortly after posting it.

Azhar takes advantage of any instance where he can push forth his polemical sectarian talking points, in an attempt to cautiously polarise his Sunni audience.

Here he subtly attempts to discredit Sunni Islam by pushing forth his false Twelver Shi’ite narrative on the Sahaba, knowing that this would likely fly over the heads of many of his naive Sunni followers.

On YouTube where he has less of an influence on Sunnis, and is preaching to the choir, he is open about his hateful stance towards revered Sunni figures.

Here he attacks Abu Bakr (RA), by twisting the event of him accompanying the Prophet ﷺ on his migration to Medina.

Here he shamelessly slanders both Abu Bakr and Omar claiming their objective was to "systematically destroy the sunnah".

And here he demonstrates his extreme takfiri beliefs about the sahaba, by declaring most of them kuffar.

Here he hints at his hateful belief in a baseless conspiracy theory that the closest companions to the Prophet ﷺ including Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, Aisha and Hafsa murdered the Prophet ﷺ.

Here he repeats his baseless claim that Omar killed Fatimah.

And here he insults Uthman (RA) and then attacks him by claiming he killed his wife, the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ.

Here he attacks more companions of the Prophet ﷺ- Khalid Bin al-Waleed, Muawiya and Amr Ibn al- Aas.

However it is disappointing that popular Muslim personalities have allowed Azhar to spew his hateful rhetoric and gain a large Sunni following unchallenged.

I call on all reading this thread to at minimum share it to raise awareness of this fraudster's hateful agenda.
