There is so much jingoism around BoycottChina and it should rightly be, unnecessary aggression of China, support to Pak etc, so we shouldn’t support them, BUT at the same not lets not feel ashamed of using Chinese products…For Now… Here is why..
Our legit dependency on China. Whatever product we excel at manufacturing, that we are proud of and we export, most of them need raw material, API, auto components, hardware etc from China..can imagine how much it will hurt us..
And no matter what people write on SM, a middle class person will always choose cheap product that he can afford, cant blame him. Even during current faceoff, their many products sold out online within minutes..thats the fact. Twitter pe outrage ka koi firk nahi padta...
And what if China started boycott India? How would our IT survive? Tata and Bajaj etc wont be able to make affordable products for us , ultimately burdening consumers in India. China’s export to India counts roughly around just 3% of its total export. Usko firk nahi padega...
So whats to be done? Govt also cant go all out trade wars, there r WTO norms. Experts must be doing their best. May be finding alternate market, but only logical way to build up our own infra, more investment in science n tech, encouragement to entrepreneurs..
Better finance, skill development…But all this will take time, years. So we should gradually work towards it, trust and support govt, start using more made in India products, BoycottChina phase-wise, and once we are economically powerful, koi aankh bhi nahi utha sakta ham pe. ..
