I'm gonna say my piece about something and you can all take it or leave it.

Anyone who knows me personally can tell you I like to try to see anything from all sides, but all I see within the "beauty" community is drama, jealousy, spite, resentment, unfaithfulness and treachery

I'm turning 29 this year and have been "into" makeup, fashion, drag, etc since I first watched To Wong Foo. Growing up I watched the initial american incarnations or ANTM and Ru Paul's Drag Race. I loved watching it with my mom but new that drag at the time was cutthroat

and difficult to get into.

Enter my goth "phase" circa '08-'10

I received praise AND ridicule in a town in Wisconsin called Osseo that had never had even the slightest hint of an alternative scene and other places.

Enter 2011 when I first chose to let my wife

Put ACTUAL makeup on me, I loved it, and later that year got into cross dressing and taking MY makeup seriously

I even adopted my "Krystal" persona before coming to terms with my own gender identity. Never once in the then 19-20 years of my life did I think that

just 9-10 years later I would see an industry I've had a sincere admiration and curiosity for evolve into a war of smear campaigns and uncounted YouTube TMZ wannabes looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

I'm not saying that the people who inspire us can't or aren't

proper candidates for inspiration, but for those who believe in it, remember only god has the right to judge.

I don't condone nor condemn the actions of those we idolize in this community.

Do some disgust me? Yes. Will I take part in pretending to support my

friends and then turn around and "Mean Girls" them behind their backs? No. It's appalling the things I've read at every angle I could find, and at this point I have no fucks left to give. I will support whomever I choose and that's it, don't like it? There's the door

And please don't forget to sign the registry on the way out.

Y'all seem to have forgotten the definition of "Community" so here it is...

1. A group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common.

2. A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

You know what I DIDN'T read in there? Exactly what everyone is doing in the beauty "community" and if that's your idea of an "ideal" beauty community, I'm out.

And BEFORE anyone mentions it, yes, I still think Jeffree is a shitty person and yes, I still love his makeup.

Even criminals have a heart, he's no angel, but he certainly ain't a monster either

furthermore, yes, I deleted my thread withdrawing my support from him because in my eyes, just about 85% of the "beauty" community is just as nasty if not worse than him.
