For HK books? Plenty. John Carroll's A Concise History of HK is my favorite short historical overview. For more in-depth colonial history, Carroll's Edge of Empires and Christopher Munn's Anglo-China were game changers when they came out. https://twitter.com/LaerkeLindskov/status/1274425707406462977
For post-handover political and social developments in HK, there is a great special issue of China Perspectives with a range of excellent contributions from leading people in the field. https://www.cefc.com.hk/issue/china-perspectives-20183/
My favorite single volume on the umbrella movement and 2014 is Take Back Our Future: An Eventful Sociology of the Hong Kong Umbrella Movement, edited by Ching Kwan Lee and Ming Sing. The introduction alone should be required reading. https://www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/book/9781501740923/take-back-our-future/
Penguin did some short volumes a couple of years ago on HK. Haven't read them all, but I read and liked the ones by @benjaminbland, @HaYingsang, and @antd.
Finally, I'm not a CCP expert at all, but a few books that provide good context for that side of things are Elizabeth Economy's The Third Revolution, Richard McGregor's The Party, and of course Louisa Lim's Republic of Amnesia.
