Apparently I pissed some people off on the faculty listserv by a) using the phrase white supremacy and b) saying that if your curriculum only includes white men, it's not rigorous. A few things:
1) If your understanding of 'white supremacy' is "men in white hoods," or if you do not know what systemic racism is, then you might want to do a little more reading on the subject before responding to a discussion about the union's response to BLM.
2) If you want to respond to a thread about BLM with several paragraphs about how white men are treated unfairly, consider that you could just....not do that.
There has been so much excellent scholarship for decades about anti-racism, decolonization etc. If you haven't read enough of it to know how tired and boring your All Lives matter/white guilt/racialized people are the real racists takes are, then you're telling on yourself.
If you honestly think that white men are the only ones doing scholarship in your discipline, you are telling on yourself.
